Optional conference tours
Subject to availability, participants will be able to sign up for one of our exciting tours upon arrival at the IAEA 2008 registration desk (on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 September only). Tours will take place on Wednesday 10 September 2008.

Highlights of Cambridge: walking and river tour, lunch and an optional visit to the Fitzwilliam Museum
Explore the beautiful city of Cambridge and learn about the origins of the University – founded in 1209. One of the best ways to see the most impressive sights the city has to offer is from the river so this tour will also include a trip on a 'punt', a traditional flat-bottomed boat. This guided tour also includes lunch and an optional introductory tour of the magnificent collections on display at the popular Fitzwilliam Museum.Price:

Visit Europe's premier aviation museum and see the finest collections of tanks, military vehicles and naval exhibits in the country. This famous heritage site began as an airfield in the First World War and played a vital role in the Second World War, as an RAF fighter station and an American fighter base. The new AirSpace exhibition features more than 30 of the rarest and most treasured military and civil British and Commonwealth aircraft – including Concorde – and some are suspended above you, as if in flight. Visit the city of London and many of its famous landmarks and see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace – the Queen’s official residence. After lunch, participants will visit the historic Tower of London – one of the most famous and well-preserved historical buildings in the world.Price:

For all optional conference tours, a sun-hat, sunglasses, light jacket or sweater, comfortable shoes and an umbrella are recommended. Tours are inclusive of VAT at 17.5% where applicable.
